Using Our Resources

Poultry Litter - The U.S. produces 9 billion chicken and 270 million turkeys per year, which Fibrowatt estimates give rise to over 16 million tons per year of poultry litter, enough to fuel over 1,100 MW of biomass power. Other major poultry markets include, Brazil which produces over 4 billion chickens year.

Cattle & Hog Manure - There are 92,000 cattle farms and 79,000 hog farms in the U.S., producing over 300 billion gallons per year of manure, enough to fuel several thousand large-scale digesters.
