Rupert Fraser, CEO, President of the Board, Founder. Mr. Fraser is Co-founder and former CEO of the Fibrowatt Group in the UK.  He has 15 years’ experience in biomass power; investment banking background (Robert Fleming & Co) and a qualified UK Chartered Accountant (KPMG). Mr. Fraser's complete biography can be read on the Board page.

Carl Strickler, PE, Chief Operating Officer, Senior Vice President. Mr. Strickler manages Fibrowatt's operating and project development businesses.

He joined the Group in 2000. Previously, as a principal member and shareholder of Reading Energy, he was involved in the development, operation and management of three alternative-fuel projects representing over $600 million in capital investment. Mr. Strickler brings over 20 years' experience in the development, operation and management of independent power plants throughout the United States. He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware.

Edward Niblock, General Counsel & Secretary. Mr Niblock acts as in-house counsel on all legal matters for the Group.

He joined in 2006, having been General Counsel to a national non-profit organization in women's health, and in-house counsel to an on-line advertising company. He also spent time working for various firms of litigation attorneys. He has degrees from Johns Hopkins University and The Boston University School of Law, and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1998.

Staff Leadership

Joseph Conover, Vice President of Project Development.

He has over 30 years experience in engineering project management, focusing on waste to energy, independent power and waste water management. Mr. Conover worked previously with Covanta, Foster Wheeler and Ecodyne.

Ronald L. Davies, Vice President of Operations

He has more than 30 years of experience in power plant operation and management, including waste to energy, coal and nuclear.  He was previously with Wheelabrator, Covanta, General Electric and Foster Wheeler.

David Frith, Vice President of Project Management

Mr. Frith has over 25 years’ experience in power generation design and project management.  He was previously employed by UK major construction firm Taylor Woodrow, where he worked on Fibrowatt’s Thetford project.

Peter Jackson, Vice President and Chief Engineer

Mr. Jackson served as head of the Fibrowatt UK Engineering Team from 1995-2005, and has over 25 years’ experience in boiler design and operation.  Previously he was with Foster Wheeler (where he worked with Fibrowatt) and Babcock Energy.

Eric Jenkins, Vice President of Commercial Development

He has over 25 years’ experience in and working with the poultry industry, for 15 of which he was responsible for all of the Fibrowatt UK and US fuel procurement and ash sale negotiations and site identification.  Prior to this he worked for a major UK poultry integrator.

Bruce McLeish, Vice President of Power Marketing

Mr. McLeish is responsible for energy, capacity and renewable attribute sales from Fibrowatt projects. He has over 20 years experience in the power industry, most recently at Constellation NewEnergy, where he served in various executive and managerial capacities, one of which was leading NewEnergy’s wholesale origination efforts. In this capacity he was instrumental in enabling the development of several new wind and landfill gas power plants by entering into long term contracts to purchase their output. He has experience trading electricity in the hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly markets with wholesale entities throughout New England, New York and Canada. He has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Syracuse University and a Master’s degree in Professional Writing from Emerson College.

Chuck Wagoner, Vice President of Construction

He has over 35 years of experience in power plant construction management and engineering project management, including coal, oil and biomass power plants.  Mr. Wagoner previously was with Westinghouse and Mirant.

Terry Walmsley, Vice President of Environmental and Public Affairs

Mr. Walmsley has sixteen years’ experience in project development and environmental compliance. He is responsible for all environmental and regulatory permitting as well as fuel specification.
