Fibrowatt a Platts 10th Annual Energy Award Finalist
Fibrowatt was selected as a finalist for Platts 10th Annual Global Energy Awards in the category of Sustainable Technology Innovation of the Year. Fibrowatt was one of four finalist considered for this award, which was offered for the first time in 2008.
The Sustainable Technology Innovation of the Year award was created to specifically recognize a significant effort in the quest for a carbon neutral world, and recognize the most innovative technological advance in the area of “green” technology — whether in the design of new renewable energy generation, energy storage, advanced propulsion systems, greenhouse gas capture or containment, or energy efficiency.
The Platts 10th Annual Global Energy Awards were announced on December 3, 2008, at a ceremony in New York City. While Fibrowatt was not named the winner, the Board, Officers and Staff of Homeland Renewable Energy and Fibrowatt LLC were delighted to have been considered, and honored at this recognition of our technology and its application at the Fibrominn power plant.
